Charming, hotel-like housing

Developed in the 1830s, St Ann’s has undergone a captivating transformation. Expansion and renovation have led this 111 bed home to emerge as a desirable and delightful housing option. The modernised, two-floor building with striking décor is home to three well-run units. Each unit has its own kitchenette with attached dining room. Individual rooms are sized similarly, with 36 beds designated for our secure dementia care unit.

Personal care assistants help with day-to-day functions like dressing, daily hygiene and grooming, laundry, rubbish removal. Residents who maintain the ability to perform instrumental activities of daily living like arranging transportation or paying their bills have the autonomy to do so. Thank you for involving John with the activities program he loves calling bingo as well as doing woodwork, the other resident you introduced him to has helped him settle in so much to the home and finally he is not talking about going home as he is happy and involved. I love the idea of him doing woodwork with the other residents and I ill bring in his tools and woodwork from home as he is really enjoying the recent activities. He even went out to lunch at Lake Boga which he cannot stop talking to us about he had such a good time. as a family we are very happy.

Explanation of fees at St Ann’s

Your own personal circumstances and financial situation will influence the amount you pay for your place in an aged care home. The Government determines how much you pay or may be required to contribute. For some people the Government will pay for most of the costs and for others, that can afford to, the Government will ask you to contribute more. We have a range of options that cater to everybody, no matter what their financial situation is.

Basic daily fee

This fee covers the cost of day-to-day services, such as meals, cleaning, laundry and facilities management, and is payable by all residents.

Based on current rate:

$66.80

The basic daily fee = 85% of the single person rate of the basic age pension. This changes twice per year.

Hotelling supplement contribution

This supplement covers daily living expenses such as cleaning, meals, and laundry, over and above the basic daily fee.

Payable depending on the resident’s assessable assets and income. You may be eligible for Governmental financial assistance.

This covers the cost of non-clinical services like social support, lifestyle activities, and administration.

This covers the cost of living in a residential aged care home. You may be eligible for Governmental financial assistance.

How will I know if I’m eligible for financial assistance for aged care?

Financial assistance is available to those who truly need it. A means assessment will determine your eligibility based on your financial situation.

What are my options if I am self-funding my aged care accommodation?

The good news is, if you are paying for your accommodation costs without Government assistance, you have a choice as to how you pay:

Option 1: RAD

A lump sum payment:

$575,000 Standard room

$625,000 Superior room

$675,000 Premium room

$750,000 Deluxe room

RAD = Refundable Accommodation Deposit
Fully refundable when you leave the home, less 2% per annum (maximum 5 years).

Option 2: DAP

Daily payments:

$125.40 Standard room

$136.30 Superior room

$147.21 Premium room

$163.56 Deluxe room

DAP = Daily Accommodation Payment
Rental-style, non-refundable payments.

Option 3: RAD + DAP

A combination of 50% RAD + 50% DAP
50% refundable when you leave the home, less 2% per annum (maximum 5 years).

Example of combination payment of a standard room:
50% refundable deposit (RAD) of $287,500
and 50% daily payment (DAP) of $62.70
