Respect provides professional home care support, designed to help older individuals in Western Australia enjoy golden years while continuing to live at home. Having the right support can make everyday living easier and safer – giving peace of mind and the time to do the things you love.

If you are aged 65 or over (50 or over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people), you may be eligible to access subsidised home care in Western Australia under the Support at Home program.

On 1 November 2025, the Support at Home program replaced the Home Care Packages (HCP) program, providing easier access to and more comprehensive care for ageing Australians who need support for living at home.

How to Access Western Australia Home Care

The Support at Home Program provides eligible Australians with government funding to access a range of home care services. If you are eligible, you can apply for Support at Home funding – after your care needs have been assessed by the ACAT, you will be assigned one of eight funding classifications that best fits your level of support for independent living at home.

If you are not sure where to start, Respect has a team of care managers that can help you with the Support at Home application process. We will walk you through the process step-by-step, inform you of documents to prepare, and answer any questions you have about home care.

Looking to switch providers? We can also help ensure a smooth transition from your current Support at Home provider – we take note of key dates and assign a carer from our team to provide continued home care throughout the switch.
