Our Standard rooms provide a comfortable and private
space to call your own. Each room comes complete
with views to surrounding serene gardens, or to quiet
and regularly maintained inner courtyards.

Deluxe Room

Our Deluxe rooms are spacious, with some rooms offering surrounding gardens, or inner courtyard or neighbouring suburb views. All rooms include a designated space for a bar fridge.

23 - 26m²

Premium Room

Premium rooms offer the best of both worlds, some with picturesque views and floor-to-ceiling cabinetry with plenty of
storage space, plus space for a bar fridge.

Premium Plus Room

Premium Plus rooms are built to an exacting standard and are located in the best position within our home. They combine the features of our other room types and many have the added inclusion of a small study desk.

I visited a resident today in Cohuna Village and was most impressed by the how lovely the home looked. It was very clean and smelled lovely. Explanation of fees at Peacehaven

Your own personal circumstances and financial situation will influence the amount you pay for your place in an aged care home. The Government determines how much you pay or may be required to contribute. For some people the Government will pay for most of the costs and for others, that can afford to, the Government will ask you to contribute more. We have a range of options that cater to everybody, no matter what their financial situation is.

Basic daily fee

This contributes towards everyday living costs such as meals, cleaning, laundry, utilities and day-to-day services.

Based on current rate:

$68.93 per day

$25,159.45 per year

The basic daily fee is paid by all residents and is set by the Australian Government at 85% of the single basic Age Pension. The rate is reviewed twice a year.

Hotelling supplement contribution

This is an additional contribution towards everyday living costs such as meals, cleaning and laundry.

Whether you pay a hotelling contribution, and how much you pay, depends on your income and assets. Services Australia will determine the amount as part of your means assessment.

Daily cap:

$22.15

Non-clinical care contribution

This is a contribution towards the cost of your non-clinical care and support.

Whether you pay this contribution, and how much you pay, depends on your income and assets. Services Australia will determine the amount as part of your means assessment.

Daily cap:

$109.45

Lifetime cap:

$140,652.80 or

the resident has been in aged care for more than four years.

Accommodation cost

The amount you need to pay towards your accommodation depends on your income and assets. Services Australia will complete a means assessment and determine whether the Australian Government will contribute towards your accommodation costs.

How will I know if I’m eligible for financial assistance for aged care?

If you have lower income and assets, the Australian Government may pay some or all of your accommodation costs. As a guide, the current means assessment starts with:

Income free area:

$36,454.60 per year

Asset free area:

$66,500

Everyone's circumstances are different

The Australian Government sets aged care fees and means assessment rules, and many of the rates are indexed regularly. Services Australia will confirm the fees and contributions that apply to you. Our team can explain room prices and payment options, but we recommend seeking independent financial advice when deciding how to pay for your accommodation.

What are my options if I am self-funding my aged care accommodation?

The good news is, if you are paying for your accommodation costs without Government assistance, you have a choice as to how you pay:

Option 1: RAD

A lump sum payment:

$550,000 Standard room

$600,000 Deluxe room

$625,000 Premium room

$675,000 Premium Plus room

RAD = Refundable Accommodation Deposit
Fully refundable when you leave the home, less 2% per annum (maximum 5 years).

Option 2: DAP

Daily payments:

$128.23 Standard room

$139.89 Deluxe room

$145.72 Premium room

$157.38 Premium Plus room

DAP = Daily Accommodation Payment
Rental-style, non-refundable payments.

Option 3: RAD + DAP

A combination of 50% RAD + 50% DAP
50% refundable when you leave the home, less 2% per annum (maximum 5 years).

Example of combination payment of a standard room:
50% refundable deposit (RAD) of $275,000
and 50% daily payment (DAP) of $64.12
