I am safe, and comfortable in my own home. I have lovely people come and help me with home care and garden care and, because I live alone, social company. If I need something concerning my reasons for all the help I get I can ask if my package could pay for it. No, I can’t think of a thing I would change.

From the moment that Mum went to stay at St Ann's I can only think of positive things to say. The staff are fantastic and genuinely care about the residents and their well-being. We are really glad that we chose St Ann's and have seen Mum go from strength to strength due to the high level of care. With the new renovations it's more like a holiday resort that a nursing home.

No "home" would ever be like home, but Tyler Village is doing a very good job at helping it feel like one. It is homelike, the staff are friendly and they provide very good care.

Here it's lovely because there's always someone here, the carers are lovely, they all seem to genuinely like their job and like people. They're always so kind, they always speak nicely to residents, there's no bullying or a bad temper or anything like that with them. And they'll do anything for you, I mean the catering staff - they always make me a cup of tea exactly how I like it. You know, little things like that are really nice.

Our family has had a long association with and support of the Tongala Memorial Aged Care and we wanted to continue that financial support into the future, and to make sure that the residents continue to live a comfortable and cared-for life. Respect, the new management team assured us that the funds we contribute would be spent where we want them to be, which is at Tongala Memorial Aged Care.

My mum lived there for 18 months, from 2012 until she passed away in January 2013, and she loved the place and called it home. She made friends not only the other residents but also the staff. Mum was cared for and looked after like a member of the family and also myself. Nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the staff there, RM Begg is a home-away-from-home, not just for my mum but also for me and I will always be forever grateful for the fantastic care and compassion that they gave to the both of us.

As a family we have had a 13-year relationship with RM Begg Aged Care, with both my mother and mother-in law being residents. My mother was a resident for over 9 years and mother-in law for almost 3. During this time, the staff provided quality care and friendship to both. The home-like environment ensured that they were treated with respect and kindness and our visits were welcomed. Their individual needs were met and nothing was too much bother.

When my mother-in-law was dying, the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that she remained in her place of choice. At all times her dignity was maintained, she received outstanding care, and it was lovely to see staff from all levels – carers and cleaners alike – just pop in to pay their last respects. It typified their devotion to the residents.
