The original building from the 1970s. Located at the rear of a local hospital and 1km from city centre. On the secure unit side, there’s a kitchen, dining, lounge area plus a small quiet room, a gazebo and an outdoor area.

Our team consists of clinical staff and specialists, including registered nurses and personal care assistants available on-call, 24-hours a day. A social care team deals with activities and therapy. Team members are passionate, caring and friendly and go above and beyond to build a genuine rapport with residents.

For personal styling needs, a hairdresser is available on a weekly basis by appointment. Church organisations also make occasional visits to suit resident’s spiritual requirements.
Food & Diet
Experienced hospitality staff includes a chef, kitchen-hand and dieticians. Food is cooked daily, fresh on-site. Menu consists of a four-week rotation. A dietician updates the menu annually with summer and winter offerings. Suppliers come from nearby to ensure the majority of food is local produce.
Lifestyle does some cooking as an activity as well, with barbecues and special functions frequently on the schedule.
Aside from the three main meals, morning and afternoon tea is also served, with snacks available.
Activities & Excursions
Lifestyle and Leisure staff look after activities and programs, including bingo, cards, crafts, and movie nights. Live entertainers come on a regular basis, as do school groups. Three outdoor courtyard areas open to garden spaces where residents can grow their own veggies and herbs. A bus is available for outings to local districts like Pyramid Hill or Cherry Farm. Excursions happen monthly with a weekly shopping trip an option.

Basic Daily Fee
A basic daily fee is used to contribute towards your day-to-day living costs such as meals, cleaning, laundry, heating and cooling. It is part of the overall fees you pay towards your care.
The basic daily fee increases on 20 March and 20 September each year in line with changes to the Age Pension.
The basic daily fee is 85% of the single person rate of the basic age pension. From 20 March 2021 to 19 September 2021 the basic daily fee will be:
$52.71 per day; or $737.94 per fortnight
This amount is indexed with the age pension. This applies even if you are a member of a couple.
Means-tested Care Fee
A contribution to care fee is paid to the federal government where a person is in a financial position to do so. The cost (if any) of a person’s Contribution to Care Fee is dependent on their financial situation and is determined by the government. Please note the government have a lifetime cap on this fee.
