Lyrebird Village Gets a Mention in Federal Parliament

Lyrebird Village residents made it all the way to Canberra this month after Federal Member for Monash Mary Aldred MP referenced her visit to the home in a speech to Federal Parliament about older Australians.
Mary visited Lyrebird Village, presenting residents with a new Australian flag for the flagpole.
She sat down for a cuppa and talked about farming, life, community and how things have changed over the years.
Residents Bev, Hazel, Dot, Marjorie, Olive and Faye joined Sherri-Lee Jansson and Acting General Manager Bindu Lal for the visit.
