Respect’s Home Care Team Hits the Road

Respect Home Care Expo series

The past few weeks have been jam-packed for Respect home care, with our staff recently hosting a series of memorable and well-attended community information events across Tasmania.

To kick things off, team members were excited to hit the road for Respect’s first-ever Home Care Expo series, engaging communities across Norwood, Newstead, and Prospect Vale about all the home care opportunities available for locals living at home and in need of support.

On top of spreading the word about the broad range of home care services provided by our organisation, it was also a wonderful opportunity for some close collaboration with Respect’s Retirement Living team. Across several of our villages, local residents enjoyed meeting new staff members, receiving an introduction to the world of home care, and learning more about the support available through Respect.

Each session was full of participant engagement and community connection. Whether it was sharing a story or two through a delicious morning tea or raising funds with some unique arts and crafts – a big thank you to everyone involved!

Then, continuing our team’s focus on local engagement, another interactive information session was recently held in the coastal town of Port Sorell. Buoyed by an amazing turnout from the local community, staff led an informative Q&A session before connecting further through a delightful afternoon tea.

It sure has been a successful few weeks for our home care colleagues. And with more older Australians opting for home care support than ever before, you can be sure there’ll be plenty of opportunities for even more local engagement in the future!
