2024 has already been a milestone year for Respect and to celebrate, we’re pleased to share the Autumn edition of our quarterly magazine.
Our latest issue offers another collection of stories from across our aged care, home care and retirement living communities. From stories of organisational growth, profiles of our wonderful residents and clients, and insights into how we are bringing innovation and improvements to our services, we think you’ll agree there is sure a lot happening at Respect to be proud of!
For example, in this issue, you can read about two of the most recent homes to join our aged care network, who each held a special competition and public vote to engage the wider community to decide on their new name. Turn to 19 to learn more about the endeavour as well as the winning participants (and the reasoning behind the homes’ new names)!
This issue we also celebrate International Women’s Day by recognising several women’s invaluable contribution to Respect, including staff, supporters, and residents.
Elsewhere, you can read about activities taking place at each of our aged care homes, including Valentines Day celebrations, Harmony Day festivities, and several milestone birthdays (some of which gathered quite significant community coverage!)
We also turn the spotlight onto our retirement living communities. Firstly, we share a positive update on the ongoing growth of Reed Estate in Launceston, which has already cultivated a strong sense of community spirit amongst passionate residents since its grand opening last year.
We also share the story of resident Claude, a proud member of our Lindisfarne retirement village who has been volunteering at the neighbouring Derwent Views for more than decade! Like many of our residents and clients, he is proud to be an active member of our communities – and we’re proud to call him part of our Respect family!
And to cap off a great read, we also take a look at Respect’s growing home care division through the perspective of both a client receiving care and a staff member passionate about helping support positive change in the lives of older Australians.
Across May, you can expect to see hard copies of the Autumn edition of our quarterly magazine available in our homes and communities.
