Respect Welcomes the Community to the Grand Opening of Reed Estate
Reed Estate, Retirement Living |

For 100 years, Respect has proudly been serving older Australians through its high standard of care and community involvement, and now our organisation is set to unveil the next benchmark for the retirement living industry.
Reed Estate will be unveiled early next month [5 August] – representing our first fully-developed and constructed retirement village. And to celebrate its official launch, members of the public are invited to attend and join in on the festivities.
Located at Prospect Vale on the south-western side of Launceston, Reed Estate has been purpose-built for comfortable retirement living. With its developments continuing in coming months, the village will include more than 60 brand new units – each comprising a combination of two and three-bedroom freestanding villas.
Mark Eagleston, Respect’s Chief of Retirement Living, hailed the Reed Estate development as one of the most exciting projects he has been involved in during his 16 years in the retirement living industry.

“Respect has always been committed to providing exceptional care and support to older Australians, ensuring they live their lives with dignity and comfort,” he said. “The inauguration of Reed Estate marks another milestone in our journey to create a community that fosters a sense of belonging, independence, and wellbeing for its residents.
“Reed Estate represents a significant investment in retirement living in Tasmania. Most importantly, the village was designed based on feedback from our growing retirement living community about the features and services that were most important to them.
“To be able to partner with the community and create the culture, community and legacy for residents of today and years to come is something that the entire Respect team is honoured and proud to be part of.”

Jason Binder, Respect’s Managing Director and CEO, said he was excited for what the future holds for Reed Estate, following years of planning and development, and all the positive community connections it will foster moving forward.
“It’s been fantastic to see the Reed Estate concept grow and develop, always focused on offering the senior community in greater Launceston a service that has previously been quite limited in the area,” Mr Binder said.
“As Reed Estate undergoes further stages of development, it will increase its capacity – enabling more residents to be part of a growing and vibrant community. I look forward to seeing first-hand the village’s strong community culture grow and develop – a sense of belonging and togetherness that I know will be synonymous with Reed Estate for generations to come.”
