Club Lithgow’s Generous Donation to Cooinda

Cooinda residents will soon enjoy new social activities, fresh coffee and expanded gardening sessions thanks to a generous $1,000 donation from Quota Club Lithgow.

Quota Lithgow is a local community organisation committed to making a positive difference in the lives of people across the Lithgow region.

Their volunteers work year‑round to raise funds that support local groups and strengthen community connections to people who need it most. This year, Cooinda was fortunate to be one of the organisations chosen to receive support.

Margaret Caddis accepted the donation on behalf of Respect Cooinda at Quota’s recent community dinner, where recipients were invited to share how the funds would be used.

The evening highlighted the strong community spirit in Lithgow and the impact of Quota’s ongoing generosity.

The donation will help Cooinda purchase a new coffee machine and supplies to create a portable coffee and games trolley. This trolley will be used during men’s coffee groups, ladies’ morning teas, hairdressing days and gardening sessions.

Remaining funds will go towards gardening activities, giving residents more opportunities to spend time outdoors and enjoy hands‑on projects.

Quota’s support extends beyond financial donations.

For Father’s Day, as they do for other special occasions, Quota gifted each male resident a thoughtful present. These gestures are always appreciated and bring a real sense of celebration to the home.
