Celebrating Margaret: A Centenarian’s Adventurous Spirit & Enduring Wisdom 

Respect is proud to welcome Margaret into the 100 Club, an initiative that honours residents who have reached the remarkable milestone of 100 years and beyond. 

Born on August 26, 1924, in London, Margaret has lived a life defined by courage, curiosity and a zest for adventure.  

After moving to South Australia in 1969, she spent most of her life there before relocating to Sale, Victoria, where she now lives – her daughter Rona also living closeby in the community.  

Margaret’s story is anything but ordinary. A thrill-seeker at heart, she’s embraced experiences that many only dream of. From hot air ballooning and hang gliding to riding Harley-Davidsons and travelling extensively around the world. Her adventurous spirit continues to inspire those around her. 

Despite now enjoying a quieter lifestyle, Margaret remains a vibrant presence at Respect’s Wattleglen home. She’s known for her love of storytelling, her sharp wit, and her fondness for ice cream – her favourite dessert. 

Having lived through more than a century of change, Margaret carries with her a wealth of experiences and insights. Her life is a testament to resilience, curiosity and the joy of embracing every moment.
