Wattleglen piano donations

As a not-for-profit organisation, we know how impactful local support is for each of our communities.

So many of our homes were built on a proud history of philanthropy and widespread generosity, and we continue to owe tremendous gratitude to the kindness displayed by our supporters and patrons in every state.

We also know that support can come in all shapes and sizes!

Whether you are a member of our Wattleglen community in Sale, or a visitor attending our home, it’s common to hear the sound of beautiful piano music wafting through the air. A much loved and popular feature of Wattleglen, a classic Petrof piano has long been bringing joy and happiness to the lives of our residents and their loved ones for several years.

And now, thanks to the tremendous generosity of the Estate of Heather Castle, the piano will remain a mainstay of our home for generations to come.

Ann Williams, the daughter of the late Mrs Castle – and speaking on behalf of her family – said she was over the moon to hear the donation had been greeted with such delight from Wattleglen residents, who are already looking forward to making great use of the gift when the cooler months hit and subsequently lead to more indoor time together.

“Our family is very pleased that the donation will enhance the lifestyle of the residents, both present and in the future,” Ann says. “We appreciate the enjoyment that music, song, dance and the social opportunities this will bring to the facility.”

Respect is delighted to acknowledge Mrs Williams and Mrs Summer Anderson, the executor to Mrs Castle’s Estate, for their kindness. Through their generous gift, they have had a positive impact on the warm and welcoming community we’re proud to offer local families at Wattleglen.
