How Home Care Packages Work
Respect is a Government-approved home care services provider — our services can be accessed under the Home Care Package (HCP) program. If you are aged 65 and older (or 50 and over for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders) you may be eligible for funding under the HCP.
Based on the Aged Care Assessment Team’s (ACAT) assessment of personal and medical needs, seniors will be provided with one of four levels of HCP support. Each level of support provides a different amount of funding (ranging from $10,000 to over $60,000) and covers assistance from basic everyday tasks to comprehensive medical support.
Level 1 home care packages provide for individuals who are mostly independent and only require a basic level of assistance with some at-home tasks. Level 2 care packages have the same coverage as level 1, with the addition of transportation assistance to appointments. Level 3 and 4 packages cover more intensive care needs such as medication management, partnerships with allied health services, as well as the inclusion of home safety modifications (at the highest level).

We have a simple 3 step process for how you can get started:
#1 Let’s chat.
Contact us, whether over the phone or by submitting the form on this page. Our care advisors will be in touch with you to answer all of your questions and provide as much information as you need.
#2 Get assessed.
Your home will need to be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) to determine the extent of care you need to live safely and comfortably at home. At this stage, we’ll also have a conversation with you over the phone to find out more about your living preferences.
#3 Receive your care plan.
Once you are assigned a home care package, we'll devise a care plan that has been customised to your needs. If everything looks good to you, we’ll assign a dedicated Case Manager and Personal Carers from our team to deliver the home care support you need.
