Working with the organisation here in Alcheringa has been very rewarding. We are close-knit and feel a deep connection in our shared joys and experiences. Each day I feel a sense of pride in coming to do a job that I love and working alongside a great bunch of people

Personally, I have a strong connection with the local community. I’m able to enrich the lives of people who have lived long lives in our town. Each and every one of them have come to feel like extended family.

Working in aged care is so rewarding… you go home with a full heart and sense of wellbeing for having made a difference in someone's life.

Icon / Quotes

Relocating to work in aged care changed my life in every possible way. From my personal point of view, it was the best decision I’ve ever made and wouldn’t change it. We have absolutely beautiful residents and a great team of allied health professionals.

It always makes me feel proud when I see and hear happy residents and families. I work in a small facility where we can get to know our residents, which allows us to provide individualised and a person-centred care. It’s very rewarding to see that our residents enjoy living at our home.

My experience working at Woodhaven has been amazing, I’ve grown so much as a nurse and as a person. Personally, I’ve met the most amazing people at work and in town and even started a family. Professionally, it’s given me the opportunity to learn, develop skills, challenge myself and grow

I have worked at Respect Aged Care since 26/6/2001. During my employment I was given to opportunity to become an Enrolled Nurse. From there I went on to University to become a Registered Nurse with the support from my managers and peers. The road has not always been smooth. By working hand and having passion, reflecting and growing along the way, I am in a happy place at present.

Aged care is my home and my grounding place. Without the structure and support from Managers and peers throughout this time I would not be where I am today. Aged Care has many opportunities to expand your career with diverse roles and opportunity for growth. Come and work with us, You have nothing to lose but plenty to gain.
