Update to visitation restrictions for Victorian Homes
25 November 20
We are pleased to advise that there have been a number of changes to the directions affecting residential aged care facilities in Victoria:
- Visitation: All restrictions on visitors have been removed – i.e. there is no restriction on the number, reason or duration of visits for any resident
- No density limits apply to resident’s own rooms
- Density limits still apply to spaces that are communal for visitors and residents (e.g. waiting rooms or spaces the facility makes available for visitors)
- Visitor declarations and other COVIDsafe requirements (e.g. wearing a mask, hand hygiene) remain
Visitors will still need to manage visitations via our booking system at https://cov.respect.com.au and continue to be limited to the current visiting times.
