Baulkham Hills Support at Home Care
For many ageing Australians, living independently in their own home gives them a sense of freedom, familiarity, and comfort. Respect provides in-home care services to older Australians residing in Baulkham Hill and across the Western Sydney region to provide the support they need to continue living independently at home.
Our in-home care services can be accessed under the government’s Support at Home Program. If you (or a loved one) are 65 years old and above (50+ for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people), you may be eligible to apply for the Support at Home Program to get free or subsidised in-home care with Respect.

On 1 November 2025, the Support at Home program replaced the Home Care Packages (HCP) program, providing easier access to and more comprehensive care for ageing Australians who need support for living at home.

Clinical care
Nursing care provides ongoing support based on medical needs, from managing and administering medication to working with allied health professionals for specific treatments for chronic conditions. Clinical care also includes continence care and nutritional support to ensure continued health for residents.
Independence support services
Services to maintain personal independence, such as personal care (grooming, showers, dressing, and eating), social support and community engagement, respite care, and transportation to and from appointments.
The AT-HM short-term pathway also offers additional funding to access assistive technology and home modifications for a safer and more convenient home environment.
Support for everyday living
Assistance with everyday living tasks such as cleaning, laundry, basic home and garden maintenance, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
How to Access Subsidised In-Home Care in Baulkham Hills
1. Register and apply for an ACAT assessment
You’ll need to lodge an application with My Aged Care, providing details of your health and home care needs. Following that, the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) will visit you at home to conduct an assessment of your specific care needs.
2. Wait for approval and funding
My Aged Care will send you an approval letter indicating the level of Support at Home funding you are eligible for. This letter will also include the priority assigned to you to start receiving funding. There may be a waiting period before funding is assigned to you, so it’s a good idea to start the application process as soon as possible.
3. Access quality home care with Respect
Once you receive a letter confirming your Support at Home funding, you can connect with our team at Respect to have a personal carer assigned to you for ongoing home care support.
